In this article, I will talk to you about one of the most potent and well-known forms of Sacred Geometry, The Flower of Life. Indeed you have seen this drawing on T-shirts, pendants, bottles, etc., and perhaps you did not know what it was called or what it represented. In this article, I will tell you several curiosities of this sacred symbol, and I will mention some of the ways to use it for your benefit. Do not forget to leave me your comment and if you liked it, share it with your friends!

MEANING OF THE FLOWER OF LIFE

The Flower of Life is one of the best-known forms of Sacred Geometry. This sacred symbol is formed by 19 circles of the same diameter superimposed and uniformly distributed in space, simulating a flower’s petals.

This first pattern was used since ancient times by various cultures, wholly isolated from each other, so it is unknown how this energy mandala could be known in different parts of the planet.

WHAT IS THE FLOWER OF LIFE?

Its perfect shape, proportion and harmony have been known to philosophers, architects, and artists worldwide. For the pagans, this ancestral geometry contained a religious value representing the fundamental forms of space and time. In short, it is the visual representation of the interconnectedness of life.

It is the matrix of creation; everything in the universe was created from this geometric mandala.

ORIGIN OF THIS SACRED SYMBOL

JUDAISM, THE CABALA:

This geometric mandala derives the Tree of Life, a significant symbol in the Kabbalah of Judaism. The Tree of Life contains the ten spiritual characters, called the 10 Sephiroth. Each Sephiroth a specific aspect of God; therefore, when these symbols are gathered on the Tree of Life, they represent the name of Yahweh.

IN THE NEW ERA

Currently, this mandala has a significant spiritual meaning and a way of enlightenment through visualizations and meditations with this form.

Another way to integrate this geometric mandala is by drawing and colouring.

WHAT IS IT FOR AND HOW IS IT USED?

Because it is considered the matrix of creation, it is a divine and powerful way to harmonize spaces with sacred geometry and healing in people and animals.

One way to harmonize a space with sacred geometry is to place a holy geometry harmonizer in the room, yoga room, office or business that you want to conform.

It is vital that the harmonizer receives and lets in natural light.

It is convenient to place it near a window so that the harmonizer enhances and amplifies the light energy.

Colour should be taken into account, depending on your life aspect you want to work on or enhance.

Another way to use this mandala’s power is by combining it with crystals, creating what is known as Crystal Grids. In this case, the Flower of Life enhances the crystals’ effects, being used in rituals of abundance, prosperity, love, etc.

The most powerful way to use the power of Sacred Geometry and especially that of the Flower of Life is by performing guided meditations visualizing the form. It consists of focusing your gaze on this sacred code’s image while listening to guided meditation audio. If you want to know more about this powerful technique, I invite you to take my holy geometry course “Awakening the sacred codes in you.”

WHERE IS IT LOCATED?

One of the most curious things about this sacred code is that it is found in almost every culture in the world. For example, in the temple of Abydos in Egypt, in the Golden Temple in India, in the City of Ephesus in Turkey, in the Forbidden City in China, it is in the mosque in Córdoba even in the water sources of my town.

THE FLOWER OF LIFE IN EGYPT:

A Flower of Life is engraved on a column in the temple of Abydos.

Archaeologists maintain that it is around 6 thousand years old. Still, the most curious thing is that it has not been carved, if not that it is engraved in the rock as if it had been made with a burning element or a laser, due to its precision. . Some argue that it represents the Eye of Ra, a symbol of the pharaoh’s authority.

LEONARDO DA VINCI AND THE FLOWER OF LIFE

Leonardo Da Vinci focused on the study of this beautiful mandala and the mathematical properties it contains. He took care of drawing both La Flor de la Vida and several of its parts, for example; The Seed of Life. Among his works, you can find different geometric figures such as the sphere, the Platonic solids and the Toroid, and the Golden ratio. All these shapes can be found within the geometric symbol that we discuss in this article.

HOW TO DRAW THE FLOWER OF LIFE?

HOW TO MAKE THE FLOWER OF LIFE

By now, I imagine you are wondering how to make the Flower of life?

Here I will explain to you step by step how you have to do to draw the Flower of life in a simple way

To start, we will need an A3 size sheet and a compass.

THE PISCES VESICA

We start by drawing a circle in the centre and always keeping the same measurement (It is convenient to have a compass with a safety lock) and making a centre in the first circumference. We make a second circumference. What the Vesica Piscis would give us.

THE SEED OF LIFE

Using the intersection points of the two previous circles, we complete the entire turn making circles, anchoring the energy always in the intersection that has been formed between the central circle and the sphere that we just made, until completing a central ring and six circles around it. We will thus have the seed of life. These seven steps symbolize the seven days of creation. That is why some cultures consider it a symbol of fertility and creation.

THE EGG OF LIFE

Anchoring the energy in the intersection of the six outer circles of the seed of life that we have just drawn, we make another six circles, thus creating the so-called Egg of Life.

THE FLOWER OF LIFE

Starting from the previous image (The Egg of Life) and anchoring again at the intersections of the outer circles, we make another six circles, and this pattern contains 19 complete rings.

Complete the Flower by drawing half circles anchoring the energy at the outer circles’ intersection points and the tangent points with the external surrounding ring.

Don’t forget to fill in the outer flower petals.

Then remove any excess lines.

When you finish, you will have 19 flowers within their corresponding circle each.

THE FRUIT OF LIFE, THE METATRON CUBE AND THE PLATONIC SOLIDS

Inside the Flower we can find the Fruit of life and uniting all the centres of the fruit circles, we obtain the Metatron’s Cube and the Platonic Solids.
